Loughbrough Registry Office

Natasha & Eddie LOUGHBROUGH REGISTRY OFFICE – THE MONK, Nr QUORN, LEICESTER Tash & Eddie were yet another couple that had to postpone due to covid. This also meant that their original chosen venue couldnt accommodate their new date and they had to change all of their plans. However, This was a great choice that they changed to, a small simple registry office ceremony for the legal part in the morning at Loughborough registry office, and then on the the amazing Monk at Quorn in Leicester for a secondary ceremony held by the father of the groom. Two ceremonies also allowed for Tash to have two dresses. A clean cut pencil styled dress for the legal part and then the dress of her dreams for the Monk! Once again, the food at the Monk was incredible and super delicious with buckets of champagne flowing all day long following stepped speeches in the afternoon which were high on emotion, excitement and full of tears! Following the wedding breakfast we went for a stroll over to the park for a selection of non posed portraits and then back to the reception venue to cut the cake and partake in the first dance. When I left the dance floor was jam packed with everyone in high spirits with the espresso martini’s very much being the drink of choice. Izzy & Guy chose the incredible Donington Park Hotel for their wedding last September. Surrounded by the amazing Donington Park racecourse, Izzy got ready at the venue. Guy chose to prepare for the day at home before arriving to greet their guests. Once his nerves had settled after a beer or two he entered the main barn to await the arrival of his bride. As this Wedding was very personal to Izzy & Will, Izzy chose to do her own make up on her own hair knowing exactly how she wanted it. The finished look and what she wanted, was to allow herself to spend more time with her bridesmaids. This also meant she could spend time with her Mum and little boy in the main farmhouse during preparation. Wedding Details. This wasn’t the first time that I had photographed a wedding at Donington Park farmhouse. I was very aware of the old pigsty wedding breakfast room, so managed to make sure that I had time to capture all of the little details. This was created by Hollie Fox and Princess who collaborated on it for their wedding breakfast. Guy was blown away with how the the stunning simple, large wedding dress that Izzy was wearing. He looked back at her as she walked down the aisle with her dad. Her bridesmaids, page boy and floor girl walked ahead of her to be in position ready to receive her as she arrived to Guy. They were married upon the main stage with two readings from Guys dad and Izzys sister throughout the ceremony. The short ceremony was full of love and closeness between the bride and groom, with them never breaking their hands other than to exchange rings. Venue Decoration – Princess Occasions Suits – Moss Brothers You were so good on the day, we really loved how discreet you were and that’s what we wanted. We can’t wait to see the pictures. – Donington Park Wedding Photograher – Winter wedding portraits at Donington Park Farmhouse We managed to catch the portraits after the wedding breakfast at the front of the farm overlooking the Derbyshire countryside. This allowed us to utilise the golden hour for those stunning long shadowed warm feeling unposed couple shots. The bride and groom had requested a handful of traditional group photographs with the closest of people to them, their parents, siblings and grandparents. We complete these pre-wedding breakfast as we didn’t have too much time before we were set to move inside. The evening party was beautify arranged with their son wanting to show his best moves during the first dance. This opened the dancing up until the night ended. Grandma was showing her best shapes whist the whole of the bridal party were singing. One to never be forgotten. Donington Park Farmhouse wedding photography unposed and natural Donington Park Farmhouse is a very popular wedding venue located at Isley Walton, Derbyshire. Located closely to the Donington Park racetrack, you can hear in the distance the revving engines of the racing cars and bikes near by. The venue itself has a very close link with my photographic career as it is the first wedding venue that I had worked at when I graduated from university. I love being commissioned to work back at this venue as it can be a very challenging in the main barn with the low light availability but this always allows for the most atmospheric, relaxed wedding ceremony. Surrounding Donington Park Being surrounded with picturesque villages, many other hotels and lodges, with good linking roads, if you have too many guests there are plenty of beds in the local area for your guests. Not only that but with easy access to East Midlands airport you could be on route to your idealistic honeymoon without having to trap for more than 15 minutes to get to the airport! On the other hand, if you are honeymooning in England, the Derbyshire dales are just on the doorstep with lovely villages such as Bakewell, Chatsworth and Ashbourne to visit. If you are planing your wedding at Donington Park Farmhouse I would love to talk to you about your plans and ideas simply drop me a message via my contact page. Chloe & Joe
Church – St Mary The Virgin Church, Thorpe Arnold, Melton Mowbray Reception – Barnsdale Lodge, Oakham, Rutland // St MARYS THE VIRGIN CHURCH, THORPE ARNOLD – BARNSDALE LODGE, RUTLAND // Wow! What a day Chloe & Joe celebrated. Sunshine for the queens jubilee, arrival of the bride and long in to the afternoon for us all to celebrate in the gardens at Barnsdale Lodge in Rutland. The morning started at the home of Chloe’s mum and dads, in Melton Mowbray with the bridesmaids and Chloe having Prosecco and chilling out with the most fantastic cold buffet including mums signature quiche. The excitement was high and the atmosphere was mirroring the street parties from the street parties of the jubilee on the television. When the time came for Chloe to step into her dress from Kibworth Wedding Belles, she was still feeling very chilled yet very enthusiastic and excited for the day to pan out. Dad’s first look was a lovely moment especially when he shed a tear or two at how grown up and beautiful Chloe looked when he saw her for the first time. When I left to meet the boys at the church, I arrived to see so many guests in their best suits and dresses playfully teasing Joe until his family turned up and everyone prepared for the arrival of the stunning bride. A simple yet classy service at the lovely St Mary the Virgin Church at Thorpe Arnold, Melton Mowbray lasting around 45 minutes and then Chloe and Joe were officially Mr and Mrs! Following a selection of group family photographs in the entrance doorway of the church we then all made our way over the the lovely Barnsdale Lodge close to Rutland Water. Here we were treated to further group photographs and a stunning couple portrait in the gardens of the venue. Speeches were given before the wedding breakfast from the father of the bride, the groom and the best man. A combination of emotional and comedic speeches settled the room ready for the meal honest heartfelt words were spoken. As soon as the evening guests had arrived and were welcomed the bride and groom decided to crack on with the party, cutting the cake and having their first dance as husband and wife. The dance floor then saw a large influx of incredible dancers and party go-ers ! The Old Cow Shed, Poplars Farm

Erin & John, Melton Mowbray Poplars Farm Wedding Photographer MELTON MOWBRAY, LEICESTER It was such a privilege to be invited to photograph at Poplars Farm. Normally the wedding venues I photograph are situated all over the country but to have a wedding location so close was a real treat. I have been able to select a few of my favourite images from my first visit to The Old Cow Shed from Erin & John’s Leicestershire wedding. Are you booked for Poplars Farm? I’d love to hear about your plans and talk through your ideas. RELAXED & UNPOSED WEDDING PHOTOS FROM POPLARS FARM Set on the North eastern side of Leicester in the heart of the countryside, as the name of the venue states this newly renovated, rustic barn offers everything you could wish for for multiple types of wedding styles. If you are planning a festival wedding, the stunning tipi set out on the rear lawn of the farm sets the perfect location for you to celebrate in a party style. Alternatively, the other on-site option it to have an indoor wedding in what used to be the old cow sheds of the farm! And finally, the flexibility of the venue allows for larger church ceremonies at the local church,St Marys in Melton Mowbray. St Marys church is the largest in the area and hosts the annual Christmas tree festival which is a joy for the town. As a professional photographer working at the incredible Poplars Farm in the summer is an absolute joy; the wrap around sunsets, the outdoor dance floor and the evening food really help to keep the party going right into the night. This is incredible! The Old Cow Shed, Poplars Farm wedding photographer MELTON MOWBRAY, LEICESTER Erin & John contacted me only last year to tell me all about their extraordinary wedding plans for the awesome Old Cow Shed which is a new(ish) venue right on my door step! This super relaxed, modern and colourful couple really did choose a venue which matched their vibe and their style. Having their two beautiful girls as flower girls this made the children really excited for the wedding and happy to model for the camera. The day for me seemed a little strange, having a wedding literally a stones throw a way from my house so I arrived early and captured extra bridal preparations of Erin and the bridesmaids/children ands able to have a good look around this super venue to plan my ideas for the day. Upon returning to the bridal. party, the champagne was flowing, laughter could be heard from the courtyard and the games had begun! The dress itself was hung in the master honeymoon suite window allowing it to de-crease whilst Erins. choice of 3 veils were hanging over the beautiful wooden beams in the centre of the room. Once preparations were done and Erin was ready the stunning Halo & Wren bridal dress went on. At this point, I went down to the ceremony room to get some images of the wedding party and make sure that John was remaining calm amongst all of the hype and build up that the day had brought. Erins arrive was classy and her dad was so proud to be walking her down to John for the ceremony to begin. The ceremony itself was rather short but full of fun and laughter, with Erin correcting the registrar on punctuation of her name! Following the formalities of the day, the party didn’t take long to begin. Beer pong was a strong favourite, having two tables and Hooch as the games drinks of choice. Food was just to die for, with the incredible Thomas the caterer offering up steak and chips with pepper sauce and a dreamy chocolate brownie desert. Into the evening after the beer pong had taken control of most of the guests, we were treated to a gorgeous rendition of ‘Girl on Fire’ from the bride and grooms daughter Elsie which melted everyones heart. The party went on late into the night under the canopy tent and I believe lots of alcohol was consumed along the way… As you were all super cool guests at this wedding I am offering you a huge 50% OFF PRINT ORDERS for the first 2 weeks of the gallery being live. Molly & Dave
Church – St Nicholas Church, Wanlip. Reception – Haybales Barn, Leicester // ST NICHOLAS WANLIP CHURCH, HAYBALES BARN, LEICESTER // Molly and Dave were married at the stunning Saint Nicolas Church in Wanlip close to Leicester in May of this year. Molly, looked incredible in her wedding dress from the bridal boutique in Warwickshire with the extra attention to detail of the rather slim fitting traditional dress. With bridal preparations underway at Haybales Barn, I arrived shortly after 10:30am to glasses and glasses of Prosecco, lots of laughter and happy faces. Once Kayleigh had finished make up there was a sudden realisation that the wedding was actually going to happen and everything was starting to feel real. Before I knew it Molly was in a dress awaiting her dad for the big reveal and Dad was blown away by his little girl. He tried to blame the tears on hayfever but everybody knew he was just so proud. Upon arrival at the church I was eagerly greeted by Dave who was full of anticipation for the ceremony ahead. At exactly 12:30pm Molly made her entrance at Wanlip being escorted down the aisle by her dad, still looking super proud as he did that morning. Dave was so happy to see his Bride at the altar and following the formal ceremonies the party began as soon as we left the church. With a handful of formal photos we were then going back to Haybales Barn for the reception to begin, with outdoor games and the most incredible anti-pasti and cheese boards with breads for dinner. Following dinner we took a short walk into the fields for some portraits and down time and then back to the tipi tent for the first dance and the cake cutting where everybody cut loose and had the best party ever. Lulu & Mitchel
Church – Boston Church, Boston, Reception – Haven High Academy , Boston // BOSTON CHURCH, HAVEN HIGH ACADEMY // Lulu & Mitchel first contacted me back in 2017 when they were planning their wedding and I was happy to help. Not knowing the scale of not only the church but the emotion involved from lore or less everybody involved in the party, it was plain to see that these guys were truly in love. The bridal prep taking place at mums, a stripped back setting for all the girls to get ready and a large lovely landing for Lulu to prepare for her day while Mitchel grabs a few cheeky last minute beers to settle his nerves and emotion. This was a lovely day followed by stunning music from Lulus very own YOUTH JAZZ ORCHESTRA – who were incredible which also allowed Lu to sing a perfect song for her man! Georgie & James
Church – Tissington Church, Tissington Reception – Tissington Hall, Derbyshire // TISSINGTON HALL, TISSINGTON, DERBYSHIRE // Georgie & James first had the privilege of meeting with me in the most dingy cafe in Kegworth in 2017 following many emails back and forth. From here they told me all about their wedding plans and how they had invisidged their day to look and turn out. Being the most relaxed couple I have ever had the privilege to photograph they day ran so smoothly and the staff at TISSINGTON HALL were fantastic. The ceremony a lovely long service talking about honey and glue with a visual aid on ‘No Nails’ really did have everyone laughing. The evening do saw the whole of the bridal party up dancing right from the first dance – and they didn’t look like leaving the dance floor at any time – even when the buffet came out! The last thing these guy had organised was a drinking competition between boys and girls on their BOAT RACE! Drink your pint and put it on your head! Naturally it was a close call and I am still unsure as to who won. Venue – CLARES UNCLES FARM in St Albans // UNCLES FARM, St ALBANS, UK // Claire & Tom were such a cool couple to photograph. Claire in her very delicate lace wedding gown and Tom in his uber cool berry coloured shirt with a open buttoned flower patterned shirt. Having had the legal ceremony a few days earlier than the dy of the party we were treated to a blessing type ceremony performed by the brides uncle. This ceremony scripted to a tee, including gun shots and a reading was a fabulous way to celebrate the love that they shared and took place in the woods of Claires uncles farm. A stunning setting. Following this the reception was again on the farm inside a stunning marquee, with amazing street food s their choice of catering!
