Emma and Will chose the incredible Donington Park Hotel for their wedding this September.
Surrounded by the amazing Leicestershire countryside, Emma got ready at the venue whilst Will made all the final adjustments and touches to the main barn, for their rustic barn wedding, surrounded by all of the people they know and love.
As this Wedding was very personal to Emma & Will, Emma chose to do her own make up on her own hair knowing exactly how she wanted it. The finished effect and what she wanted was to be allowing herself to spend more time with her bridesmaids, and Mum in the main farmhouse during preparation .
This wasn’t the first time that I had photographed a wedding at Donington Park farmhouse, and I was very aware of the old pigsty wedding breakfast room, so managed to make sure that we had time to capture all of the little details that both Emma and Will had attended to before the wedding took place.
Will was blown away with how the the lace wedding dress that Emma was wearing looked as she walked down the aisle, her bridesmaids ahead of her and in position ready to receive her as she arrived to Will.
Emma & Will were married upon the main stage with two readings from both sisters throughout the ceremony. The short ceremony was full of love and closeness between the bride and groom, with them never breaking their hands other than to exchange rings.

Winter wedding portraits at Donington Park Farmhouse
We managed to catch the portraits just at the time where the last of the winter sun was setting behind the farm over the Derbyshire countryside. This allowed us to utilise the golden hour for those stunning long shadowed warm feeling unposed couple shots.
The bride and groom had requested a handful of traditional group photographs with the closest of people to them, their parents, siblings and grandparents. Emma & Will were wanting to squeeze these in before the last of the evening light and before they would really bet to cut loose at their wedding reception.
Now this was a reception like no other I have ever attended. Hosted by the amazing Jackstar Weddings, Emma & Will chose to have a karaoke party for their reception which EVERYONE made the most of. Grandad was showing his best shapes whist the whole of the bridal party were singing. One to never be forgotten.
